Store Policy


General information

Unlike most used furniture dealers, we pride ourselves in making sure all items have been inspected, cleaned and all upholstery sanitized according to the State of Ohio Bedding laws. Before the piece enters our showroom, it is dusted and cleaned with the appropriate cleaners and/or sanitizers. Every piece is inspected, all joints and knobs are tightened, drawers are checked to make sure they glide with ease and rubbed down with wax, so that you can be sure no detail has been missed.

Sometimes we come across pieces that have been neglected and need more attention before they are floor-ready. These items are taken into our “Heirloom Clinic” where they are revamped and repaired to ensure that they are sturdy and functional. We note all these repairs in the item description. We do our best to uphold the integrity of the piece coming onto the showroom floor, but we believe in making sure the items we are selling are safe and serviceable.

Exceptions are made for all high end antiques/collectables as we do not have the expertise to preform proper restoration. They are cleaned and left in the state in which they were found. Any flaws or repairs previously done will be noted in the description to the best of our ability.

We also paint or refinish some pieces to give them a new and modern look. These ideas are often inspired by our own creativity, special requests or popular styles seen on home dĂŠcor sites. This, contrary to popular belief, does not devalue the item but rather makes it fun, unique and more desirable. It then becomes a one of a kind art piece instead of an ordinary mass produced item that looks dated.

Returns

Most items in our store are vintage or antique; therefore some overall wear is to be expected. We try to accurately describe the items to the best of our ability keeping in mind the age of the item. However, it is up to the buyer to address any concerns prior to the purchase. We will be happy to answer any questions or take additional photos to ensure customer satisfaction. All sales are final however, in some cases, items can be returned with manager approval required and restocking fees will be applied.

Shipping

Small home dĂŠcor items can be shipped within the US. At this time, the buyer will need to make arrangements to pick up or ship larger items. We will try our best to assist the buyer in making appropriate arrangements for shipping of large items.

Layaway

We do provide layaway on most items, however we are limited as to storage space and some exclusions on larger items or upholstery pieces may apply. Our policy is 50% as a down payment at purchase and the remainder within 30 days.
